October Gallery
Since 1979, the October Gallery has represented artists from every continent and over seventy different countries. The converted Victorian schoolhouse was the first space in the UK to be dedicated to non-Western contemporary art, and continues to provide a nexus for cultural exchange in the heart of London.
October Gallery was the first London Gallery to showcase contemporary art from Africa. It has been instrumental in bringing to international attention many of Africa’s leading artists, including internationally acclaimed El Anatsui, the highlight of Venice Biennale 2007 and the winner of Documenta 12, Romuald Hazoume. The Gallery

In the Centre of the building is a large open-air garden courtyard with fruit trees, shrubs and flowers. This provides an idyllic setting for luncheons, meetings with friends, or for small social gatherings.
