West End LIVE

On 20th June West End Live’s annual theatre extravaganza was launched in Leicester Square by Westminster City Council and was proudly sponsored by Mackintosh’s Catering. West End LIVE is a weekend event to showcase the very best that the West End has to offer with performances from all the top shows spread over 2 days of fun and family entertainment which is absolutely free!

The weekend was opened by the always entertaining duo of Boris Johnson and Christopher Biggins and the two were closely followed by performances of hit West End musicals The Harder They Come, Mamma Mia! and Jersey Boys as the beverages flowed freely and the crowd revelled in the atmosphere.
A superb event was capped off for Mackintosh’s on Friday 4th July as we had the pleasure of catering the West End LIVE sponsor’s lunch in Westminster City Hall attended by Chancellor Robert Davis DL and the Lord Mayor. With a menu fit for the location including sweet corn ravioli with cauliflower puree and roasted sea-bass with vanilla mash, it was an appropriate end to what surely was the most successful year yet and Mackintosh’s are looking forward to West End LIVE 2009 already!
