Gone With The Wind World Premiere After Show Party

A book that sold over 30million copies, a film that won 10 Academy Awards and a now a stage production directed by Sir Trevor Nunn. What better event than the first night party of Gone With The Wind at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel for Mackintosh’s to show off their culinary skills with a taste of the deep south.

With the show running close to 3 ½ hours, 700 revellers arrived at The Waldorf somewhat peckish and were greeted by buffets laden with delicious American fare. A Spicy Three-Bean Chilli and a particularly popular Creole Jambalaya were nicely complimented by Pulled BBQ Pork in rolls and Southern Sausages with a Cajun sauce and, after finishing off with our speciality Mini Pecan Pies, the guests settled in for a long night of partying.

With an open bar and music playing in the stunning Adelphi Room, guests were treated to an amazing evening which was host to more than a few famous faces including acclaimed stage writer Ben Elton, broadcasting legend Sir David Frost, teen band sensations McFly and actress Joan Collins.

Mackintosh’s were delighted to have been asked to cater by Freespirit Events and look forward to many more exciting ventures together in the future.
