Welcome to Mackintosh's NewsletterSupposedly March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. Here at Mackintosh’s Catering it appears to be the other way around and, as spring (for spring read hurricane season!) creeps up, it’s all hands to the pump as the events come thick and fast. As well as designing and organising high quality events all over London we are always looking for fresh ideas, innovations and exciting new challenges. You may have noticed in your favourite restaurants around London that Tasting Menus are, in catering parlance, “the dish of the day” and therefore Mackintosh’s Catering have decided to bring the Tasting Menu to you. In conjunction with wine expert Alan Macdonald of Quintessentially Wine we have created a 9-course menu of mouth-watering flavours beautifully complimented by wines from around the world. Our aim now is to make this a regular feature of Mackintosh’s business. We are delighted to have been able to team up with Quintessentially Wine and are looking at the exciting prospect of bringing exceptional food and outstanding wine together for tastings designed for you and your friends! ![]()
St Catherine’s College, Oxford
Mackintosh’s were thrilled to be asked to cater for alumni of St Catherine’s College, Oxford who gathered in Warwick Avenue to catch up with friends, colleagues and enjoy some delicious canapés. The evening was made all the more memorable as guests were honoured by the presence of guest speaker Melvyn Bragg, acclaimed writer and broadcaster, who was made Domus Fellow of the college in 1990. ![]()
Thomas Goode
2008 really is looking like a year of great partnerships as we continue to spread the Mackintosh word. This month we are privileged to have developed a relationship with the country’s most exclusive producer of fine bone china, Thomas Goode.

MacDougall’s
With a landmark exhibition currently showing at the Royal Academy of Arts in Piccadilly, Russian Art is at the forefront of the London art scene. Here at Mackintosh’s we are delighted to have been fortunate enough to be part of this as Russian Art specialists MacDougall’s asked us to preside over a champagne reception for their current exhibition ‘Legends of the Russian Underground: Rukhin, Sitnikov, Kharitonov’, which features three key non-conformist Russian artists of the post-war period. In their stunning auction house just a stone’s throw away from the Academy, a select group of experts and buyers were waited on hand and foot by Mackintosh’s as they perused and discussed the paintings in the exhibit. We look forward to many more opportunities to work with MacDougall’s and would like to wish them all the best for their upcoming auctions. ![]() Book an event @ Thomas Goode by 31st July and receive a tea set from Thomas Goode valued at £800 |
